Igår hade jag ett roligt samtal med en tjej.

Hon: But prostitution is really good, it's the oldest profession in the world!
Jag: (ser förmodligen mycket hånfull ut) That's like saying murdering is good, cause it's really old to murder.
Hon: But historically, prostitutes were the smart ones. It was like only the ones with money that were allowed to be whores.
Jag: (torrt skratt) What do you mean tho, what time are you talking about? Like back in egyptian times?
Hon: (ser lite osäker ut) No....Like 1602.
Jag: That's very specific.
Hon: But we read about it in school.
Jag: (känner mig väldigt elak och frågar snällt) Maybe you are talking about courtisans, perhaps you mean the prositutes that were kept by kings and stuff? They might have had money.
Hon: Maybe...
Jag: Like at the Moulin Rouge, perhaps? They probably weren't that poor.
Hon: I never saw that film.
Jag: Right.
Hon: I think maybe it was Venice.
Jag: (ger upp) Oh ok. Maybe we can agree that most people in history who have sold their money to men have not been the most sucessful?
Hon: I think maybe some of them were poor.
